It's been a while!

I have been a slacker about posting, because I have also been a slacker about running.  I have not been consistant at all, and who really wants to write about that?  The good news is all the baby weight is gone.  I am actually a couple of pounds under now, but I'm not so sure that is a good thing.  I have been eating a ton of high-calorie foods, but it seems to make no difference.  The extra weight loss has come at a time of extreme fatigue (like barely have the strength to pick Graesen up sometimes kind of fatigue).  Plus, Graesen is now gaining weight very slowly, so I think we both may be fightin off some kind of bug.

Week 4- Janelle

Well, I managed to run a couple of days this last week.  Not great, but better than last week.  I have started working alot more, so I have really been struggling with adjusting to this new schedule.  It's not that my schedule is really all that crazy; it's just that I don't get near as much time with Graesen now.  I feel so guilty if I leave him to run after I worked all day.  I'm sure it will get a little better with time, but right now I just miss the boy so much when I work.
Somehow, even with the little amount of exercising I have been doing, I still managed to lose a little weight.  I am down to 5 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight.  I would love to have it all off by Thanksgiving, so that I can start the eating season without any extra pounds.  I'm not sure it will happen, but I can hope!

Lame-O

I’ve been following the schedule and diet, but have had the most discouraging week! I bought a new scale, because my older one stopped working. I had been wanting one anyways, because I had noticed that my old scale was completely unreliable. I could step on it 3 times in a minute and come up with 3 different weights with a variation of up to 6 pounds.
Well, this new scale is a fancy one and completely reliable. The problem is that I am fatter than I had thought. After all this work, and some weight loss, my new scale is telling me that I’m actually barely under the weight I thought I had initially been. Of course, this probably means I still lost the weight I thought I lost, but that I was fatter to start with in the beginning, and fatter now than I thought I was. It feels like I took a huge step back, so I’m completely bummed about that. I’m trying to be positive, but it’s hard when I’ve been working hard and avoiding all the temptations my husband brings home. (he shops like a man… chips, cake, pie, cookies, candybars, pop, and all kinds of yummy things you bake or fry for dinner.)

So, in an attempt to lighten my own mood, I must note that I DID go down a belt notch somehow. I may be further from my goal than I thought I was, but my waist is shrinking….

Week 3- Janelle

BAD week. I walked on Saturday and that was it. I was feeling less than great for a couple of days and also stressed out, so I did not work out. Needless to say I am still at 7 pounds to go. Goals for next week: anything better than this week.

week 2- Janelle

I managed to run 30 miles between last Thursday and Wednesday. However, I forgot to do my pushups and situps a couple of times, so I only did them 3 days. Oops! I lost 2 more pounds and now have just 7 to go as of today. For next week I hope to run 4-5 days and do my abs and pushups at least 3 times. For pushups I will do 2 sets of 20 off the knees. For abs I will do 7 minutes.

Week 2 - Rachae

Allright - 5 pounds lost and all the workouts accomplished.

Next comes the hard part. It's easy to lose the first week because of water weight. Now my goal is to lose 3 pounds before next weigh-in and to be patient with that! I have 10 pounds to go for my haircut and I need it really bad!

Week 1- Janelle

I managed to run 4 out of the 7 days. 3 of the days were around 5 or 6 miles. The other day was 3 miles. I am hoping to run at least 5 days this next week. I also did 5-minute abs and 2 sets of 10 pushups (off the knees) every other day. It has been WAY too long since I have done pushups! I am down to 9 pounds to lose. So I did alright with the workouts/weight loss. My eating was a whole other story. I have no will power when it comes to food! Next week I want to run 1 additional day, do 6 minute abs, 2 sets of 15 pushups, and try to eat healthier.
